The World Cup ended a couple weeks ago and now I have nothing to wake up early for anymore. TV has been more dull and boring without a WC game on or WC highlights. It's been very disconcerting. But, just as I though I was in the darkest abyss of my usual TV viewing activities, a new and exciting show appeared to save my summer TV watching. The World Series of Pop Culture on VH1. I know this show was in the works, after hearing back in March that Kerry Jackson of X96 put a team together and tried out for the show. I've been waiting for a show like this for a long time.

Growing up as a little injun on the rez, I was exposed at an early age to the greatness of the game show Jeopardy. Everytime I heard the theme music, I would run to the living room and watch. Everytime there was a Daily Double, my dad and I would show at the TV, "ALL OF IT, SUCKER !!!!!" To this day, everytime Jeopardy is on TV, I must watch. To this day, everytime there is a Daily Double, I must yell, "ALL OF IT, SUCKER !!!!!"

Now, as the World Cup drew to a close and I saw no escape from a summer filled with the same boring Crap that is usually on, I fould solace in a game show that pits fellow nerds, geeks, and fanboys against each other to show who the knows the most useless information about the recent fleeting trends. I was rather proud when the Comic Movie catagory was easily swept. And, with team names like "I heart Jake Ryan", "Cheetara", and "Sexual Chocolate" how could you Not like this show ?!?!

I've always felt that one day my love for trivia and useless information would pay off. I could always see myself competing on Jeopardy, but I think I would fair far better on the Pop Culture game show. I just might have to put a team together for the next one...
