Whether it be the Brown Government elections or the White Government elections, they are all the same and I don't care one way or the other how it all ends up. They all suck !!!

Have a nice day :)

New Radiohead: In Rainbows

The radiohead site crashed from all the hits it took today. But here are two other places to get the new album from:

1) http://www.radioheadlp7.com/downloads/inrainbows.zip

- Right click on the link and then 'Save As..' (or 'Save Link As..' if using Firefox) and save to your desktop. You will have to unzip the file when it is finished downloading.

2) http://www.sendspace.com/file/c77mt6

- Scroll down the the bottom of the screen and then right click on the link. Then 'Save As..' and save to your desktop. Unzip the file when completely downloaded.

NOTE: I was able to download faster from the 2nd link. The first one might be slower because it may have heavy traffic. Happy downloading.

P.S.: Thanks to Radiohead and it's Label-less efforts in distributing their music. Also, good luck to Oasis, Jamiroquai, and Nine Inch Nails in following suite. I hope this is the start of a new way to distribute material.

P.P.S: I'm all about free stuff.

Update

So apparently I have to buzzkill, what I thought was a funny post, with an explanation of my intentions. I did, in fact, throw some cash in the Radiohead tip cup and 'pay' for downloading their album. This was my intentions from the start. It's was just a pain in the butt to go through all the registrations and refreshing for verification codes, and what not. So here's some of the low-down in what's involved. It may be confusing to navigate through, so here's some help.

1) Go to http://www.radiohead.com/ - look for the rainbow colored page. Click Enter.
2) Choose from Diskbox or Download. Which ever one you want, click the 'Pre-Order'. Even though it's available now, you still have to click 'Pre-Order'. An alert window will tell you it's been added to your basket, but not show you any change of status. You have to 'View Basket'. This is where it gets more confusing.
3) IF you want to give to the little stream, you have to give in British Pounds. There's a link to a Currency Converter, but it's the most confusing one I've ever used. It's easier to Ask.com 'Currency Converer' and there's one that comes up quick. (GBP -> USD). It's close enough.
4) 'Update Basket' then 'Pay Now'. You will then have to Register to order. Then comes the "Enter your Credit Card", "Enter your mobile phone number", and then the dredded "Hit Refresh to get your Security Code". This may take a few refreshes to get. You will know when you get it.
5) After all is said and done, you should be given a link that downloads "inrainbows.zip" to your Desktop.

So there's the long road to getting what could be a free album...or you could just click one of the links above.

I think I should have gone with my other idea and posted about the new 'Thundercats' movie to come out

Seriously, THE funniest videos ever made. I've never, in my entire life, laughed so hard. I was seriously tearing up half way through the 2nd episode.

Episode 1: Child Beater

Episode 2: Child Beater

Now I see why people have children.

I think I'm due to post something, but since no one visits this blog anymore, I guess it really doesn't matter. So don't be surprised if jaju.blogspot.com becomes online tech-notes for myself.

Anyway. Right now I am lying in a hotel room in Boise, Idaho. I just got done eating some awesome Cheesecake Factory cheesecake and finished watching Little Miss Sunshine. I've been here since sunday night and I'm leaving tomorrow for the Utah. I got a long-term temp job with Xerox. Sort of a testing period for both Xerox, if I do a good job for them, and for me, if I like Xerox enough to stay with them. So I've been sent to Boise for training. Everyday has been filled with watching training videos and taking tests. It wouldn't be so bad if that wasn't ALL I was doing. But it is.

I've been training with another guy from Montana, an older gentleman, who was pretty much doing the same stuff I will be doing, but for a competitor. Anyway, the training and tests have all been very much electrical engineering stuff. One day was full of just looking at schematics, identifying symbols, going over various basic principles of physics, and covering a BUNCH of safety regulations. Other days, we've been covering how to read company documentations and softwares, the xerographic process, other safety policies, and more electronics stuff. It's all been very taxing.

Next week, I'll have to drive to the SLC offices everyday for even more training. Tearing apart various machines and putting them back together, working with Xerox software, and other such activities. Every since I was a kid, I've always been taking apart stuff, and through collage, I've been learning how to put stuff back together. It looks to be right up my alley.

So for now, I've been hanging out with the Xerox guys (and lady) for the week. Most of these guys are older EE grads or techs that have been doing this for years. I've been the only younger I.T. kid in the bunch. And when I get back to Provoland, I'll still be the only I.T. kid amidst EEs. Kinda intimidating.

Back to Boise...We've been eating as some really cool places for lunch. I've been hotel livin for a week. And, I've been spending time in the hotel gym. (I really need to get back in the gym on a regular basis.)

As far as non-work stuff goes, my brother and I bought an Xbox 360, getting ready for Halo 3. I'm pumped for the final installment of the Resident Evil movies. Woman's World Cup is underway. I've got some lunch money saved for the Sept. 18th release of Motion City Soundtracks new album. And, I got my tix for the Dec. 8 MCS concert in SLC. Life's been good.

WTF-F-F-F-F-F-F-F ?!?!?!?

I hate Hollywood.
How does one get THIS piece of *crap*:

From this:

Megatron goes from the most deadly gun in existance to some kind of transforming icicle...WTF !!!
AND !!!! How can someone do THIS to Bumblebee:

When he's suppose to look like THIS:

NO ONE can change Bumblebee from his much beloved VW Bug form to a Chevy Camero!!!

Don't EVEN get me started about all the Sell-out-ness that is going on in the new Transformers movie.
1) The Transformers Theme was butcher'd.
2) GMC is using MY beloved Transformers as a platform to SELL CARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As Such:
1) Michael Bay is a fag !!!!
2) So is Steven Spielberg
3) The soundtrack sucks balls !!!

A public service announcement brought to you by the National Anti-Emo Allience:

Why does music suck now-a-days ?!?!

Riddle me that...

Why in-the-name-of-all-that-is-distructive and unholy, does music suck so very badly ??? You can't turn on the radio and hear a good, cheap song any more, like celine dion, or mariah carey...not that I like these people, but would rather put up with them than All-American Rejects or Hawthorne Heights or Green Day. Pretty much every song that is on is some emo crap from some even suckier emo crap band. And people are eating it up !!! That's what's amazing to me. Why do people suck so bad that they think they are emo and that their life is harder than everyone else on the planet and they have to sing about it ??? I admit, my own life is not a garden of roses, but I stopped complaining about it a long time ago, let alone not putting together some dumb band to cry over the mic about it. Now, every crappy teenager & grown-up blowhole who has a band has to sing (ha...sing...like anyone sings anymore..) about dumb stuff.

I miss the days when you could turn on the radio and listen to Alice Cooper, and Alice in Chains, or even Guns-n-Roses. Even VH1 has been playing a bunch of Coldplay, and Daughtry, and Blue October(fags!). The world is in serious need of a Metal uprising again. Not so much the hair bands of the 80s (although they were pretty cool), but we need awesome bands to play 40 minute guitar solos, and heavy drums, and raspy, eerie voices, like Cannibal Corpse or Cradle of Filth.

I'm so very glad that I have my internet radio to keep me tuned in to such gem stations like Radio Satan 666 (Winamp: http://69.56.172.94:8000), who still know and understand the value of such awesome music personalities like Johnny Cash, and the Charlie Daniel's Band and the Crystal Method.

I can't listen to radio anymore...only X96 in the mornings.

It's too bad . I can understand my sister's frustrations with music today. Nothing is good anymore. Underground music is the only place to find anything decent.

I blame Green Day. They did and are doing to music what Nirvana did to metal. They use to be awesome back in the day, then they had to get all political, and start shopping at Hot Topic, then they got all emo...more so than usual. My (now-) roommate Derek and I agree, no more crybabies on the radio or anywhere else !!!!

That's all I have to say about that.

January 26, 2007

If I were an M&M, this is what my sister thinks I would look like...

I like the transformer arms, but I'm not too fond of the facial expression.
